SES Board 2010

Returning Directors Sandra Bicego and Catherine Jackson welcome new Directors Lisa Princic, Theresa Negrieff, David Crewson, Sarah Greenwood and Roland Semjanovs to the Board for 2010.

At our first meeting the Executive Officers were voted as follows:

Treasurer/Secretary: Mary Mitchell

SES Board 2010:

Theresa Negreiff
Theresa brings 12 years of experience in the non-profit sector, including stints as an Executive Director, Major Gifts Officer and Board President. She has previously worked in the fields of preventive health care, the arts and environmental advocacy. She holds a BA from Simon Fraser University in Communication and currently works as the Director of Development & Community Relations at the North Shore Neighbourhood House in North Vancouver. In her free time, Theresa enjoys volunteering, climbing, skiing and gardening.

Sarah Greenwood
Sarah has been living in Squamish for 2 1/2 years and was a member of the Save Garibaldi Group at its conception. Since her arrival in Squamish, she has spent much of her time teaching leadership courses in wilderness environments. You are now able to find her working locally in the community as a vocational counselor and at Valhalla Pure. In her free time, you will most likely find Sarah enjoying the amazing scenery and recreational activities of the corridor. You can find her on her mountain bike, paddling down a river, or skiing a nearby slope.

Roland Semjanovs
Roland is a former newspaper and magazine editor, consultant and public affairs practitioner who, prior to moving to BC, worked 8 years for an environmental assessment body as manager of communications.
He first came to BC in 1973 and then moved to Yellowknife in 1975 where he spent 30 years before moving to BC again to be closer to family.

Lisa Princic
Lisa provides entrepreneurs and sustainability professionals with coaching and training in areas of leadership, career and business development. Through her workshops, programs and training Lisa helps her clients create meaningful impact in their work while balancing their lifestyle and wellness goals.
Lisa has over 8 years experience building small business networks and helping organizations operate more sustainably. As a result, she has developed an in-depth understanding of the problems and solutions facing business owners and individuals who have a deep desire to make a difference.

Catherine Jackson
Catherine is an Instructor at Capilano University teaching adults high school Math, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. She came to Whistler in 1986 from England and became involved with AWARE, standing as Director for 7 years.
She has lived in Squamish for 13 years and is pleased to be continuing on to her fourth year with SES as Director/President. She enjoys running, hiking, skiing, biking and climbing in beautiful Squamish and the Sea to Sky corridor.

David Crewson
David has an extensive and proven background in the high-tech industry. Since moving to the Sea-to-Sky corridor in 2001, he has been a key contributor in the incubation of the knowledge-based sector through his leadership in Inside Edge and the Squamish Sustainability Corporation. David looks forward to serving the Squamish Environment Society, and helping to achieve their goal of attracting and supporting local environmentally responsible businesses
