All Eagle Watch volunteers for the 2009/2010 season are invited to a volunteer appreciation supper at The Brackendale Art Gallery on Saturday February 6th at 6pm. This is an evening to celebrate and evaluate our program and to acknowledge all the work our volunteers have done.

This has been a difficult season but one of our most successful. Thanks to our volunteers many visitors received answers to their questions about Bald Eagles and saw them up close with our scopes. We also had a chance to educate visitors about the fatal effects of sea lice and other diseases from salmon farms on migrating juvenile salmon swimming by. The food chain in action means Bald Eagle numbers decline with smaller wild salmon runs.
