Our bats need your help NOW!

The South Coast Bat Conservation Society and the BC Community Bat Program need volunteers to begin immediately to help with The Annual Bat Count. Roosts have been identified in Squamish and we are requesting volunteers to help monitor them.

Counts take one hour, and we ask volunteers to arrive 10 to 15 minutes  before sunset to record basic information on weather conditions and the location.

  • Counts are easy!
  • No special skills are needed!
  • All ages are welcome!

To volunteer, call Danielle at 604-754-3220 or send e-mail to vancouver@bcbats.ca.

Read about White-nosed syndrome, which is has been found in Washington state and could soon reach our bats.
