Our next Discovery Walk will be at your location of choice, and instead of being on the last Sunday in March it will be on Wednesday April 1, between 10:00 am and 11:00 am. This will allow us to participate in a very special webinar, organized by the Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative.
- iNaturalist experts, Kelly Fretwell (Citizen Science Coordinator with BC Parks Foundation) and Judith Holm (Project Coordinator for Biodiversity Squamish) will demonstrate iNaturalist and answer questions.
- Report-A-Weed specialist Mike Shasko (Invasive Species Database Specialist with Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations, and Rural Development) will help us understand the value of Report-A-Weed from the perspective of staff working behind the scenes.
- Ruth Simons will talk about the value of this information within a Biosphere Region and upcoming projects where volunteers can contribute.
