Social media:

We’re looking for someone with experience in social media and/or graphic design to assist in creating content for our channels.

  • Ideally, you have some experience with using Canva and Meta business suite/other scheduling software.
  • We are looking for people who ideally have knowledge (or a willingness to learn) of the following topics:

Board Member:

Our Annual General Meeting is approaching (it’s not until October, but summer flies by faster than you realise!) and we are looking for committed individuals to join our Board of Directors.

  • The role is ideal for someone who wants to learn more about Nature Squamish in a hands-on way and actively contribute to running the Society.
  • This is a ‘working board’ position and the Director will be expected to take on tasks suited to their skills and experience.
  • The board meets in person, on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the evening. Between meetings, Directors oversee and contribute to their portfolio, with an average workload of 2-4 hours per week.
  • Some current needs include: administrative support, volunteer coordination, membership, and fundraising.

Admin Support:

We are looking for an organized self starter who has 1-2 hours per week to provide administrative support on an ongoing basis.

  • This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn more about Nature Squamish in a hands-on way.
  • Familiarity with Google Drive, Gmail, and Canva is an asset.
  • The primary role involves checking email accounts and responding to (or re-directing) inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Other tasks could include compiling and formatting presentations and annual reports, digitizing and filing society documents, and organizing files and photos.
  • Mentoring is available as you settle into the role.
  • Tasks are primarily computer-based and can be completed from anywhere.
