We were grateful to once again host an Earth Day celebration on the traditional, unceded territory of the Squamish Nation.
The weather was great, it was a Farmer’s Market Saturday, and it was Easter Weekend. Thanks to all the groups represented and to the enthusiastic participants. There were new activities for children this year, lively folk dancing and good conversations at the booths.
There were lots of familiar faces and some new ones as well, with some new residents looking for opportunities to get involved. Four people signed up to be contacted when EagleWatch season rolls around, including a 9-year-old girl whose mother would accompany her.
Our apologies for being late with this post. It was tricky to gather some photos: if anyone has others to share, please let us know.
